Early June saw the Society visit the home club of our Chairman Tony Pigott, Royal Ashdown Forest, for our annual fixture against the Lady Members. They were, as always, extremely welcoming and the course was in fantastic condition, although brutal if you strayed from the fairways. Having won for the last two seasons, we were determined to secure the hat-trick but it was not to be as we were completely outplayed by the Ladies in 6 match 4 Ball Better Ball!
An excellent lunch was enjoyed whilst many from both sides remained to enjoy the late afternoon sunshine on the splendid Clubhouse balcony.
The Society members playing were : Roy Dexter, Tony Pigott, Ted Rose (President of RAF GC), Chris Goldie, Guy McDonnell, Jon Hardy, Jonny Longley, Tim Wren, Melville Guest, Tim Smith and Richard Baker. We were joined by guest Ian Jackson.
