Despite a couple of late withdrawals and the persistent rain that fell all day, our intrepid members enjoyed an excellent win at Formby. Ian Cockbain's side took the honours by 4 and a half to 1 and a half. As always the hospitality from the Formby members was superb with the evening dinner continuing into the small hours as old friendships were strengthened and new ones made.
The CCGS side included to two Cockbains, Warren Hegg, Graham Monkhouse, Bill Merry, Barry Dudleston, Wayne Osman, Bob Cook, Guy McDonnell and Tom Bostock, the CEO of Durham CCC. Thanks also to our last-minute subs from Formby, Ben Aitchison and Mark McDonald.
