Nigel Cowley had attracted a great Society team to take on the members of Worcester Golf & Country Club but the home team eventually took the honours 4/3 after some great 4 Ball Better Ball matches.
The course was in excellent condition, the weather kind and the members, as always, most welcoming. There were excellent wins for the pairings of Graham Rose & Jerry Lloyds, Kevin Emery & Trevor Tunnicliffe and Bill Merry & Neal Radford whilst Steve O'Shaughnessy & your correspondent, having clawed back to all square from 3 down, were defeated by back-to-back birdies on 17 and 18!
A very special mention to the Club's Head Chef who provided us with a fantastic steak meal after the match. A fantastic day out for all concerned!
