The Society takes the honours at the Berkshire

Our annual match against the men of the Berkshire resulted in a 6 and a half to 5 and a half win for the Society. President Bryan Richardson assembled a decent side and they didnt let him down taking the morning Greensomes by 4 to 2 and doing enough in the afternoon Foursomes to secure the match victory. As always, the welcome at the Berkshire was exceptional and our special thanks go to James Davies who, after 25 years of managing this fixture, announced at lunch that he is to stand down. His hospitality, and that of the Club and its members, has been very special over the years and we are extraordinarily grateful. Representing the Society today were Bryan Richardson, Mike Gatting, Min Patel, John Shepherd, Nigel Ross, Julian Thompson, Ian Hodgson, Bill Merry, Harry Latchman, Gordon Harris, Tim Wren (who came along for the afternoon), John Hardy and Chris Goldie.
