The Society's annual visit to Woburn did not end well on the course but was, as always, superb in every other way. Manager George Sharp had assembled a decent team including Society Captain Min Patel, Society debutant Neil Johnson and one of our oldest players, Laurie Johnson, but the members of Woburn were too strong as we were whitewashed over the magnificent Marquess Course, venue for this year's Ladies Open.
Despite the result, we were warmly welcomed - indeed the members were quick to point out that this is one of the most popular fixtures in their annual calendar - and we are hugely grateful for their exceptional hospitality. The Society team was George Sharp, Min Patel, Barry Dudleston, Stuart Waterton, David Capel, Roy Dexter, Harry Latchman, Laurie Johnson,Neil Johnson, Chris Curzon, Gordon Harris & Chris Goldie.
