Our two day trip to Nottinghamshire ended in defeat at both Worksop and the Nottinghamshire but we came away after two lovely days of golf having met old friends, made new ones and enjoyed lovely golf courses in excellent condition.
On Thursday Roy Dexter, a Worksop member, put together a great side but we failed to beat our hosts in a Better Ball Stableford Team match. There were some good individual performances but overall we came up short.
On Friday Chris Curzon was our Team Manager and despite a couple of late dropouts, the CCGS side was a decent one. We played 3 matches on the Championship Course and 3 on the Signature. We performed well on the former, winning 2/, but unfortunately we were less successful on the Signature course and went down 4/2 overall.
Nevertheless great fun was had by all and we very much look forward to heading back to the East Midlands for these great fixtures next year. If you have never been, look out for the 2020 dates. You won't be disappointed.
