Clear blue skies and a testing breeze greeted the Society on our first visit to Bristol & Clifton Golf Club. After heavy rain earlier in the week, the course was lush and verdant, the greens were superb and the course presented a fair but challenging test for us all.
Paul Romaines had gathered a fun team, with some locals and some from further afield. The match itself was tight with the several games going to the 18th but it was the club that prevailed by 3 to 2.
After the golf, we were treated to a superb supper to round off an excellent day. Without doubt Bristol & Clifton is a fantastic addition to our fixture list and we very much look forward to returning in 2020.
