The sudden and tragic death of Ian Cockbain in September 2022 means that, in 2023, we will be competing for the Cockbain Trophy to remember a great friend of both the Society and Formby Golf Club. Our visit enables us to enjoy a truly fantastic course in the company of some delightful people.
The format is a sandwich lunch on arrival followed by an 18 hole 4BBB match in the afternoon. Dinner is then served in the fabulous Dining Room of the Clubhouse and it is usually a most sociable occasion.
Overnight accommodation can be arranged, both before and afterwards, for anyone travelling from afar.
